This was it. One could argue that we wouldn't be here today discussing this issue if this issue hadn't existed. Hmmm...wait a sec. Well...Anyway! This is the issue that published my very first letter! My very first anything! I started writing to comics as early as 1966 when I still had to dictate my ;letters to my Mother. I remember writing to GREEN LANTERN and AQUAMAN early on but when nothing came of it, I slowed down, reserving my praise only for comics that really, really impressed me. This was the first one that either Mort or Nelson or some proto-chipmunk actually chose to print and I knew right then and there that I LIKED seeing my name in print!

DC was starting here to embrace the world of fandom. I wish I had ordered some of the fanzines they plugged but instead I had to wait another 3-4 years before I discovered a store that sold them.
